North Miami Trolley

Whenever you plan to visit a place, a mandatory thing to know about is the place’s easier means of transportation. Miami Dade Country is very much sophisticated and concerned with this issue that is why they are operating many comfortable means for its valued tourists such as Metro Mover, Freebee, North Miami Beach Trolley service, etc. 

The effort of inaugurating, launching and operating North Miami Beach trolley service is an exemplary initiative of the Public Works Department. Miami Dade Country allows its citizens and tourist to use this trolley service for free. The trolley buses are designed and fabricated in a way to give the passengers a vintage look but they are installed with all types of modern facilities such as Wi-FIFI, Air Conditioning, CCTV Surveillance, mobile app, etc.

Schedule

The trolley services run from Monday to Saturday of each week from 7.30 a.m. to 7.30 p.m. On Sunday the trolley services remain off. 

Routes

Previously, the trolley offered three routes. On February 9, 2020, city officials launched and inaugurated a new route that provides service from the Uleta area to West Miami Dade County and later in October 2022, Route E was inaugurated, which completes the 5 routes currently in existence.

The different routes are detailed below along with their stopping points.

a. Route A / East Route: The Miami Trolley provides transportation service in the eastern part of the county on the route mentioned below. The frequency of the service is 30 minutes and among the most prominent stops are:

  • Intracoastal Mall
  • Transfer SIB Shuttle
  • Stratford House
  • U.S. Postal Office
  • NMB Public Library
  • Walmart
  • City Hall / Victory Pool

b. Route B / North Route: the route through the North area of Miami Dade County is the one mentioned below. It has a frequency of about 45 minutes and among its main stops are:

  • Walmart
  • Greynolds Park Elementary
  • Shops at Skylake
  • City Hall / Victory Pool
  • Spanish Monastery
  • NMB Public Library

c. Route C / South Route: the trolley that runs along the south side of North Miami Beach has a frequency of approximately one hour and among the most outstanding points where it stops are:

  • Walmart
  • Fulford Elementary/Allen Park
  • FIU
  • Transfer NOMI
  • Biscayne Commons
  • Highland Village
  • Washington Park

d. Route D / West Route: this route that runs along the west side of North Miami has a frequency of approximately 35 minutes and its 17 stops include:

  • Walmart
  • Fulford Elementary/Allen Park
  • Jefferson Plaza
  • Uleta Park
  • Jackson North Medical Center
  • Transfer Miami Gardens Express
  • Sabal Palms Elem.

e. Route E / Connector: this route provides passengers with access to two main centers: the Golden Glades Multimodal Transportation Facility and Aventura Mall. With a frequency of about 2 hours and 45 minutes, its stops include:

  • Golden Glades Interchange
  • Jackson North
  • Jefferson Plaza
  • Walmart
  • NMB City Hall
  • Spanish Monastery
  • Aventura Mall

Safety and miscellaneous directives

 The North Miami Trolley service is considered as a very safe method of transport for its tourists and citizens. The service offers full free and convenient transport services following the American Disabilities Act Requirement. All the trolleys are installed with surveillance cameras which are being closely monitored by the city authority. Though the trolley buses are designed in an old fashion manner yet it provides onboard Wi-Fi connections to its passengers. Nonetheless, the services are installed with air conditioning facilities to provide its passengers a tiring less journey. The North Miami Beach Trolley Services allow its passenger to take their pets on board but with proper harnessing. Moreover, pets are to be kept under sit and not on the seat. The trolley services also allow its passengers to get on board with bike and bike racks are also installed inside the trolley buses to facilitate bike’s parking/ racking. Passengers are also discouraged to play loud music which may discomfort other passengers. Taking foods or drinks on board is strictly prohibited while moving into a trolley bus.

North Miami Beach Transit App and Tracking of Routes/ Bus Location

The North Miami Beach transit app allows you to find real-time locations of trolley buses, track your own location comparing to the buses in closest vicinity, track your own route as well as to add stoppages. The app was developed in a very user-friendly manner and it will reduce your hustle to find trolley buses. The app has been made accessible by making it available on Apple Stores and Android Play Stores.
